Many people when considering the practices of Native Americans do not associate meditative practices with the spiritual aspects of ceremony. Actually, Native American practiced meditation often but did so in accordance with their life styles.

Native Americans spent hours walking in nature observing the animals in their natural surroundings. Native American also achieved meditative states thru the use of chants and, if you consider it, in their dances. Dance as a meditative form is drawn out of the context of movement. It is often recognized that holy men and women of the various tribes used special natural herbs to increase their ability to “travel” to other dimensions, but this is the sacred ground of these people and should never be approached by the untrained. Humans that are not practiced and trained holy people can and do access parts of themselves and other dimensions through the use of the meditative state.

In these workshop/seminar settings people will be guided through various meditative practices that have been drawn from many traditions but are mainly coupled with the Chinese Tao philosophy of meditation.

Even people experienced in meditation will learn to access the parts of themselves that they haven’t accessed before. They will learn to use meditation to grow and to heal themselves. Meditation is a powerful tool that is meant for all to use and while it is simple and easy, it is also complex and extremely powerful.
